TMI Coatings recently completed a floor coating project for ATK Federal Premium Ammunition in Anoka, MN where they manufacture a complete line of shotshell, centerfire and rimfire ammunition and components for recreational shooters, hunters, and law enforcement officials.

TMI received a phone call from Hugh McVey with Corro-Shield International, Inc. because Matt Hruby of ATK Federal Premium Ammunition had a new concrete floor and bunk wall to coat.  Matt wanted to use the Corro-Shield product because it went on new, wet concrete and he couldn’t wait for the concrete to dry. 

After TMI knocked off the high spots and used a stiff bristled broom to clean the day old concrete, we primed it and applied the Corro-Shield Novolac epoxy.  Matt said, “Everything went great.  We have a pickling line that runs over it so to prevent the concrete from eating away, we needed to coat it.”  “Because of down time, the Corro-Shield product was chosen.”  Matt said he liked the product because it looked nice.
